Due to an exciting client relationship, ShopSmart Agency is currently recruiting for an exceptional, enthusiastic and determined Field Sales Executive, who will be working predominantly within Convenience & Impulse retailers, selling in and managing long term distribution of a range of products on behalf of our client; General Mills.

General Mills operate in more than 100 countries on six continents and is part of the world's sixth-largest food company. The power and innovation of General Mills UK & Ireland is reflected in their iconic brands, which include: Nature Valley, Häagen-Dazs, Jus Rol, Old El Paso, Green Giant and Betty Crocker.

The Role: 
•    The face of General Mills brand portfolio, with an immediate emphasis of driving the success of Nature Valley & Haagen Dazs within your territory. 
•    Developing strong customer relationships throughout your territory 
•    Representing General Mills and the product range to the highest possible standard
•    Delivering our client objectives and targets
•    Generating new stockists through direct sales from the van and education of the core product range to retailers
•    Generating case orders through transfer ordering/influencing at store level
•    Retaining current and increasing distribution of the specified General Mills SKU’s
•    Providing on-going support to participating stockists
•    Submission of accurate reporting and market intelligence

Other activities include:
•    Driving sales through generation of increased facings and space
•    Merchandising
•    Auditing
•    Installation and management of associated equipment and POS

The person we are looking for:
•    You will be highly motivated and sales focused
•    You will be an excellent communicator with first class influencing and negotiation skills
•    You will either…
o    have experience  in Retail or Field Marketing in a similar role, preferably within the Independent/Convenience & Impulse sector, or
o    be of graduate calibre looking for your first or second position in a field sales role

Either way; as the face of our client’s brand, you must have a huge amount of determination, enthusiasm and energy to succeed!
