Job Details
THE ROLE:
-Manage analytical programmes of work to mine behavioural data sets to deliver actionable insight to the business
-Lead a team that leverages statistical and programming knowledge to maximise insight value from large behavioural data sets and serve up the insight in easily digestible, usable formats
-Ensure we are making best use of our data assets, increasing the sophistication of insights we can get from our data sets through aggregated modelling, and increasing the efficiency of getting to the insights through better use of tools and data
-Champion the shopper in internal and external discussions, ensuring that the motivations, triggers and barriers for shopper decision making is understood and considered in category, range, space, display and pricing/promotional changes
YOU NEED TO HAVE:
-Attention to detail and rigorous project management skills to keep complex multi-stakeholder projects on track
-Strong technical capability, e.g. data programming skills, database management, SQL and SPSS.
-Experience in different forms of data modelling and technical capability to define databasing and reporting requirements.
-Ability to 'translate' from data into compelling commercial action recommendations.
-Confident presenting complex analysis to senior and non-expert audiences.
-Line management experience, specifically developing specialist technical individuals within a commercial environment.
-Assertive and proactive stakeholder management.
-Determined and persistent in solving problems and overcoming hurdles to deliver results.
-Flexible and collaborative, able to harness others outside of direct line report to support efforts.
-Credible and impactful delivery style, able to build trust amongst senior stakeholders.
-Working knowledge of key data sources (Nielsen, Kantar, dunnhumby/i2c) and Impulse channel data providers an advantage.
-Good understanding of core category management processes.
