Are you a Business Partner that speaks fluent Sales? PepsiCo are looking for a senior finance professional with great commercial acumen and the ability to collaborate and influence others to join our Head Office in Reading, Berkshire.
You'll be a true business partner, you'll be liaising at senior levels, working side-by-side with our sales teams to help develop and deliver their business and profit plans. This role isn't about being a number cruncher. It requires a combination of analytical judgment, commercial savvy and the ability to offer practical advice to a demanding client group - and make that advice heard.
Accountabilities
- Partner with the account team to build their annual net revenue plans, and develop their annual "joint business plans" with their customer;
- Lead the reporting and explanation of account revenue performance to the Sales team & CFL including post deal evaluation, customer & category performance, and lessons for future activity;
- Highlight future performance concerns and opportunities and take a lead role in planning commercial activities required to remediate any gaps to target;
- Continuously challenge and optimise trade spend (sales P & terms) for the specified account;
- Lead the delivery of net revenue plan via stewardship of the commercial planning analysts in the service delivery team, with particular responsibility for reviewing the forecasting of promotions and new products;
- Steward the process, via the analyst pool, for ensuring all prospective account promotional investments are evaluated and approved appropriately;
- Oversee period close process and provide understanding and insight into performance, including PY accruals.
To achieve this you'll need to be a great influencer and have the ability to operate and manoeuvre in a complex organisation. Ideally you will come from a similar industry; FMCG, Retail or have a Consultancy background and be able to analyse and anticipate performance trends, external events and key business drivers to plan, improve or course correct the business versus targets.
What we are looking for
In addition, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate evidence of providing support and tools for innovation and customer management and leveraging insight of key business drivers to propose and execute action plans to enhance business performance.
You'll be able to communicate persuasively to win support, minimising or removing barriers that get in the way of achieving results. You'll be able to make short-term decisions without sacrificing long-term results, and balance competing priorities without losing momentum behind execution. You'll most likely be CIMA / ACMA / ACCA qualified.
