Within the UK, Classic Fine Foods supply Michelin Star restaurants, hotels, department stores and independent customers with the highest quality products across the following product areas; dairy, meat, pastry, gastronomies, seafood, high-quality perishables, condiments, pasta, and chocolate.

The business is very customer led and is always on the lookout for new, creative and innovate products to meet customer requirements.  In addition, they strive to work with only the best suppliers.  This is shown through their BRC accreditation and commitments to animal welfare, achieved by maintaining a close relationship with their farms and breeders.

Role

As National Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth and managing the development of a portfolio of luxury retail customers, including department stores and high-end multiples. The main focus of this role will be developing new business opportunities across multiple retail outlets to strengthen the Classic Retails portfolio. You will work closely with the product development team and be required to build relationships with suppliers to successfully source products, which is a significant part of the role.  As National Account Manager, you will report into the Sales Director and have direct responsibility for managing a sales representative.

Requirements

The successful candidate for this position will have a proven track record of developing sales and building strong customer relationship within UK retail customers.  Experience dealing with high-end multiple retailer, such as Waitrose, Ocado, and M&S is essential. The successful candidate will possess a real passion for premium food products and have extensive experience in the food industry. You will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in order to build relationships internally and with your customers. Previous people management experience would an advantage.  The successful candidate will be an organised individual with the drive, motivation, and passion to achieve sales and thrive on over delivering against targets.  As you are working closely with European suppliers, the ability to speak French would be beneficial, but not essential.
