National Account Manager, leading brand!

As an experienced National Account Manager with proven experience with the large national retailers, an opportunity has arisen to join an innovative and design led British company with strong UK presence in both Branded and Own Label products.

A typical day in this National Account Manager role may include:

• Visiting existing customers to present new ranges to them
• Taking briefs on new product development ideas
• Working closely with the internal design and product development teams to drive innovative and unique product ranges for your customers
• Negotiating cost prices and trading terms
• Taking full account management responsibility once orders have been placed which will include liaising with the customer and internal stakeholders to ensure orders are delivered on time and in full
• Making sure that the products are displayed properly once they are in store
• Maintaining strong relationships with the Buyers even outside of selection periods
• Attending tradeshows and maximising the opportunity whilst you are there
• Competitor shopping and market research – Being proactive and understanding the current market, new trends and retailer activity – becoming the ‘expert’

The successful candidate for this National Account Manager role will have:

• 3 years’ experience within a national account manager role
• Experience in the homewares, gift, health/beauty, FMCG, fashion or accessories industry would be beneficial
• Strong understanding of the numbers including budgeting processes, forecasting and managing expectations
• A positive attitude, high levels of motivation and be driven by success
• Be computer literate and confident using MS Office Excellent English
