Mail Order, Internet & TV Shopping

The Company
My client is a market-leading supplier of Garden, Outdoor and Home Living brands. The company offers a substantial range of SKU's across their brand portfolio. Following a recent acquisition and significant cash investment the company continues to gain market share by innovating its product offerings, brands and infrastructure.  

The Person
We are seeking an experienced Regional or Key Account Manager/Executive who has managed customers in the Mail Order, Internet or TV Shopping channels. What is most essential is your ability to learn, adapt, take on new challenges, seize opportunities and deliver a strong work ethic.  You must be a team player, versatile, solution oriented and highly motivated to achieve objectives for yourself and those around you.  We need someone who is ambitious, driven and looking to develop to the next level.

Key responsibilities: 
You will be responsible for the development of existing and new customers in the Mail Order, Internet and TV Shopping channels.  You will develop and implement business plans with each Account assessing the scope and potential for development.
Your key objectives will be: -

  • Achieve all sales & profit targets.
  • Follow companies category growth initiatives
  • Drive range development with the Category management team   
  • Identify new product development opportunities
  • Implement annual promotional plans 
  • Highlight new target customers for strategic development. 

Skills, experience and qualifications:

  • A Business related degree would be preferred but is not essential
  • Regional/Key Account experience within the Mail Order, Internet or TV Shopping channels is preferred
  • You should have some FMCG Sales training ideally from within a branded FMCG business
  • Qualitative and quantitative evidence of consistent achievement against agreed objectives
  • Used to operating in a fast-paced and changeable environment
  • A skilled networker and team player, able to influence at all levels internally/externally
  • Confident, assured, articulate and engaging 
  • Have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, passionate and enthusiastic
  • Mobile, willing to travel as and when required throughout the UK
  • A work ethic based around a willingness to learn & develop, hungry for success
