A rare opportunity has arisen to join one of the most progressive artisan coffee roasters whom are always at the forefront of the London Coffee Scene.
Their core business is wholesale supply and retail servicing for independent and multi – site cafes, hotels and hospitality businesses across the UK as well as operating their own high – end coffee shops.
About the Role:
As a passionate coffee professional either from a technical or artistic specialism, you will be required to provide technical and engineering cover for key accounts predominantly across London (will include some in other parts of the South East and the South Coast).
You will be required to drive the technical operation forward and expand on the success of the current team – there is a lot of potential for the right person to really progress and grow within this organisation.
You will predominantly be based in the prestigious central London based workshop where full training will be provided and specific duties will include;
- Servicing, maintenance and installation of espresso and filter equipment – working with La Marzocco, Kees van der Western, Nuova Simonelli and Bunn
- Maintain stock and parts inventory in the service van and workshop
- Scheduling service work and managing a diary of appointments and customers’ expectations
- Liaising with contractors to book appointments when necessary
- Building strong relationships with customers
- Presenting a professional company image at all times
- The role will sometimes require you to work remotely on the road
Key Skills/Experience Required:
In order to be considered for the role of Specialist Coffee Technical Manager, you must possess the following;
- Experience of working within the specialty coffee industry
- Experience/knowledge of traditional espresso machines
- A strong, genuine passion for coffee
- Experience of working within a technical/engineering position within the coffee industry is desirable
- Experience of working as a Specialist Barista with an eagerness to build technical skills will be considered
- A full, clean UK driving license
- Able to lift heavy equipment when required
- Happy to work long and sometimes unsociable hours if required
