My client is looking for an Area Sales Manager covering the North East territories. The company are a premier manufacturer of equipment within the sports industry, manufacturing products to the highest possible standard.
The role is to target independent retailers & specialist shops across the North East. You will need to grow and develop the existing account base working towards set monthly targets. Reporting to the Head of UK Sales, this position is responsible for driving direct sales for an innovative Sports brand. The primary focus is to grow your existing account base with the addition of new accounts and distribution channels, whilst maintaining existing relationships with current accounts.
My client is specifically looking for someone with a strong sales background ideally from within the same product category where you are dealing with independent retailers, professional shops, and speciality stores. You could be an Area / Territory Sales Manager or Brand Manager from within the industry looking to join a growing, innovative business with some great products. This person must be reliable, trustworthy with lots of drive and enthusiasm to be successful.
Main Duties:
- To manage an existing customer base, varying from Independent Stores, Professional Stores and Specialist Stores.
- Develop the territory by identifying and targeting prospects through cold calling, internet searches, and face to face meetings.
- To sell promotions to new and existing customers as directed by the sales manager
- Achieve specific annual sales targets as set by the sales manager.
- Develop strong relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Ensure our products are merchandised in the correct way inside the Stores.
