Simon Howie Foods is a multi-award winning business based in Dunning near Perth. From our meat and food production facility we supply a range of customers in the hotel industry, the main supermarkets and Michelin starred chefs. We also have superb retail outlets in Perth and Auchterarder. We are a customer led business where quality, customer service, high standards, consistency and reliability are not just words they are the backbone of our business.

We are looking for an experienced, highly organised and intellectually capable person with proven success in an FMCG sales environment and if you’ve been in the food industry then even better. 

Your main objective is to maximise sales and profit delivery in the major multiples and to identify and develop opportunities to extend beyond our existing customer base.

If you think; customer relationships, profitable sales, throw in some product promotion and brand development, add a wee dollop of people management and combine with a sprinkling of financial stuff; then you’ve got it!. 

There will be pressure so resilience, common sense and stamina are a must. You need to be confident enough to make decisions and to take responsibility for seeing them through. Naturally you’ll be a capable user of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 

Our ideal person will have a background in FMCG sales – and a foody background would be even better but without a doubt, it will be the ability, character and approach of the person that are most important. Whatever your background you must be able to demonstrate that you are a National Sales Manager.
