Assistant Manager, Oxfordshire
This rare opportunity, will be a long term development role with a view to promotion into the Senior Management Team. It will be both broad and varied, with the successful applicant being involved in, working with many aspects of the business including liasing with trade corporate and private individuals, along side developing a sound understanding of their respective needs and demands.
The initial responsibilities of the Assistant Manager will be to be involved in….
Gaining a general understanding across all areas of the business including admin, vehicle collections / deliveries and on site logistics.
Conduct vehicle appraisals / photographs and up loading onto web site.
Developing new systems including on line sales
Maximise web based media.
Build rapports and relationships with all customer types both corporate and trade.
Auctioneering – training and support provided.
Vehicle valuations.
Dealer reviews along side existing Senior Management Team.
Sales negotiations
Identifying new business opportunities
I.T. Support through liasing with our existing suppliers
The ideal / successful candidate for this exciting and rarely offered vacancy will be confident, out going in personality, of smart appearance, with face to face customer service skills and be able to work within a knowledgeable and welcoming team.
Supervisory or Management retail experience would be desirable but not essential, as full training would be given.
Your normal working hours will be 09.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday, with a later finish on Tuesday and Thursday sale evenings (approx 9.00pm) with weekends off.
We offer a remuneration package to include a basic salary of £26K, with OTE of £32K made up of a shared annual staff bonus which is payable half yearly.
After successful completion of a probationary period, you will offered the chance to join the company pension scheme.
We offer 20 days paid holiday (of which 3 are to be taken during the Christmas shut down) plus 8 days bank holiday.
