Regional Manager - ParcelShop

Overview:

This role is home based however travel is required daily to maintain contact with ParcelShops both within a defined territory and or other areas within UK if required.
 
Role overview:

To work closely with the Parcelshop Network Manager and the ParcelShop Regional Team to  provide the essential link between the company and our portfolio of Hermes ParcelShops within the South East Region.

The management of a team of Business Development Executives within the region to drive the recruitment and performance management of a network of independent service providers against the company service standards with the support from ParcelShop Admin, Network Development and Regional Management teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for ParcelShop Network Growth within the South East region:
  • Accountable for your teams recruitment and performance management of Independent Retailer service providers to fulfil our ParcelShop Strategy.
  • Build and grow on myHermes ParcelShop excellent quality standards within your Region to protect the ParcelShop brand and attract additional volume to achieve Hermes business targets.
  • Maintain a competitive advantage through market awareness and supply competitor activity in regard to market share and services.

ParcelShop Performance and Quality:

  • Accountable for the regional team’s service performance to meet or exceed set SLAs, according to the demands of the wider Hermes business, Hermes clients and industry standards.
  • Effectively utilise the regional teams Management Information to measure and manage continuous service improvement and service quality of the ParcelShops within your region according to agreed KPIs.
  • Pro-actively develop and implement action plans with the BDE’S within the team to ensure service compliance amongst the ParcelShop Network and protect the Hermes Customer Experience and Hermes ParcelShop brand.
  •  Provide effective management of the BDE’s within your Team:
  • Utilise excellent communication and collaboration skills to encourage and enthuse BDE’s to deliver network quality, service performance and encourage team engagement.
  • Pro-actively support the team and ensure personal development by providing training, coaching and mentoring on an individual basis.

Develop and manage internal and external relationships to deliver:

  • Ongoing ParcelShop network expansion and performance improvement.
  • New ParcelShop services, by working closely with the Project Teams and offering support where necessary.
  • Excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Effective cost control for the Team to include cost effective Territory Planning, Travel Expense, accommodation and overall people expenditure.

Qualifications:

  • Strong People Management skills with experience in managing field based teams, including the ability to demonstrate coaching, performance management and objective setting.
  • Experience of service management within a logistics/ retailer environment is essential.
  • Experience of recruitment and retention of independent service providers, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to instil direction and develop a coherent approach.
  • Highly persuasive communicator with the ability to drive motivation and engagement at all levels.
  • Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment.
  • PC Literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office, including power point and presentations.
  • Full current driving licence.
