A fantastic opportunity has arisen for hungry, driven and ambitious FMCG sales and national accounts candidates to join this rapidly growing Energy drinks brand, Carabao who have already seen fantastic success during 2016 after launching in the UK earlier this year. We are looking for talented candidates with High Street, Convenience, Forecourts & Symbols, and Grocery experience to join the growing sales team.

In Thailand, home of the world's leading energy drinks, this type of beverage was made to provide replenishment for lost energy. Carabao adheres to these basic principles and has therefore positioned itself as an energy drink for those who need replenishment. The Carabao logo is unique amongst energy drinks brands as it was designed by Aed Carabao himself. It represents the physical and emotional strength of people who possess the fighting spirit. The stylized image of a buffalo skull, with the red bird that represents freedom, can be seen everywhere in Thailand.

The brand is already the main sponsor of Reading Football Club who play in the English Championship but have been a successful Premier League club and will be again. Carabao has also entered into an extremely exciting partnership with Chelsea Football Club with the business investing some £30m across the next three years which will generate close to £100m annually in global brand awareness value.



Of note, Carabao recently announced a 3 year, multi-million pound sponsorship of the EFL Cup - which will be known as the Carabao Cup. Played across over 90 teams involving all English Football leagues, it offers the brand incredible consumer awareness opportunities throughout the campaign, culminating with the Final being played at Wembley!





Description



The National Account Manager will lead and manage the Commercial interface with selected and relevant key Off Trade accounts. They will be responsible for the sales execution of the Company brands, buyer interface and negotiations, customer wiring, P&L, Budgets, promotional execution and forecasting. They will also be responsible for the creation and delivery of Account specific JBP's and targets



In addition, the National Account Manager will liaise with internal commercial functions to deliver great customer service, consumer insight led execution strategies/innovation and interaction with Carabao's 3rd party field sales teams as required.



Profile



The successful candidate(s) for the National Accounts Manager vacancy will come with the following key skills, background and experiences:-
  • Direct experience of working across key and specific UK retailers in a NAM role within a leading FMCG supplier
  • The ability to understand the customer, P&L, and can see the bigger picture whilst having the personal desire and attention to detail to carry things through to execution will be important
  • The role will suit an individual who wants to take real personal ownership for building a business, and enjoys working in a fast paced, often fluid environment, and can see working with ambiguity as an opportunity rather than a challenge
  • Ideally of a graduate calibre, a proven track record of classic blue chip FMCG principles and training including selling techniques, negotiation skills, P&L analysis, forecasting and budget management
  • Highly driven, ambitious individual who can see the advantage gained by building a new business and the experience that can give them
  • Must be able to work effectively with others and be able to manage ambiguity
  • Exemplary customer management skills, and the ability to manage up the business to keep the leadership team fully informed of any developments both within the account and across the market
  • Creative thinking, personal resilience and the ability to find alternative solutions to problems will form a key part of this role, so would suit someone who is intellectually curious and solution focused
  • Happy to work in a fast paced environment, the successful candidate should relish a challenge and be prepared to roll their sleeves up
  • Experience of working within a smaller team environment would be beneficial
  • Ideally based no more than an hour from Reading also as this is where the office is based

    Successful candidates for the National Account Manager roles will benefit from a circa £40,000 to £50,000 basic salary negotiable depending on experience + car allowance + bonuses
