Our client is a leading player in the greetings cards, gift and toy categories with strong growth across the UK in recent years. The business has a number of well renowned brands and licenses recognisable in major retail outlets and independent stores across the country. An opportunity has arisen for a National Account Manager to work with this unique product range and develop an existing portfolio of accounts. The successful candidate will be given some existing accounts to manage and be responsible for a turnover of £4m. There will also be an element of new business development with this role.

In order to be considered for this opportunity you must have experience of working as a National Account Manager, ideally selling into large retail accounts and dealing with the giftware/greeting cards buyers at head office. You do not need to have worked in the gift, greetings cards or toy sector although this would be beneficial. Experience managing accounts such as Tesco, Waitrose, The Range, Morrisons and Co Op would be beneficial.

The new recruit must be very driven, ambitious with excellent negotiation and objection handling skills. The company have a culture of promoting from within so someone with future aspirations for career development is important.
