Dedicated premium retail National Account Manager role for a successful and growing food business.

This successful and developing business, that produce high quality chilled food products, is now looking to strengthen its national accounts team within the retail sector. Within a matrix structure this role of National Account Manager will report to the Commercial Controller to drive, develop and deliver the business plans and manage relationships nternally, to work as an ambassador for the business. Also working closely with category management this role will ensure efficient management of the product range and overall handle day-to-day management of the commercial relationship with Sainsbury's.

Key requirements for this role as National Account Manager;
  • A track record of dealing with the major retailer at Buyer level
  • Specific experience of working with Sainsbury's as a customer
  • Will be strong numerically
  • Able to interpret and utilise market information
  • Must be a self-starter with a "go getter" attitude
  • Strong customer relationship management and excellent influencing skills
  • A mixture of own label and branded experience would be preferable
  • Finally you must be a people person, with a genuine passion for food both professionally and personally


This food National Account Manager job will suit either a National Account Executive, that is looking to step up in to National Account Management, that has already worked previously with Sainsbury's or an existing National Account Manager that needs stability and success within their category and is inspired by the ownership of a premium retail relationship.
