Pedigree Wholesale is a market-leading supplier of pet and aquatic products, selling into the UK independent retail sector. The company is family-owned, with a strong reputation in the marketplace built up over 40 years of successful trading. As one of the most respected businesses and wholesalers in the sector, the company employs over 150 people at their Nottingham Head Office and across 5 depots nationally. With revenues in excess of £40m, they can offer retailers over 13,000 SKUs across the food, accessories, healthcare and aquatic product areas. Providing customers with exceptional service across all areas of the operation is a key commitment of the business, which has led to a number of awards for outstanding customer service. As the business continues to develop, Pedigree Wholesale are now looking to recruit a UK Field Sales Manager to their team.

Reporting to the Sales Director, this is a great opportunity to have a central role developing and commercially supporting the sales team. This is a hands-on position that will include managing a small territory as well as 6 direct reports. The territory currently turns over in excess of £1m and has approximately 40 live accounts across Milton Keynes, Hemel Hempstead and Oxfordshire. Fundamentally, you will be responsible for developing the territory along with overall responsibility for the productivity of the field sales team, working towards monthly targets to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration. You will also oversee key sales initiatives and product launches throughout the year.

Given that you will be ultimately responsible for running your own team, you must be a motivated and organised self-starter with the drive and independence to succeed. You must have previous people management experience and a proven track record of delivering results.
