Customer Insight Analyst - FMCG

A superb opportunity with a leading FMCG business (personal care) to join as Commercial Analyst. This is a central role within the Commercial team where you will be working directly with Senior Sales Leadership team helping them on UK and European business projects through commercial reporting and insight-lead presentations into market dynamics and in-store product performance.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

*Support the Sales Director on specific commercial tasks, reporting, analysis and sales conference organisation.
*Gather and analyse sales statistical performance data from a variety of sources e.g. financial reports, market data and national account teams.
*Co-ordinate sales forecasting process.
*Develop and maintain systems and processes for the sales department.
*Assist national account managers in tracking internal and competitor pricing through store audit process system.
*Track promotional plans and new product development launches using suitable spreadsheets.
*Support the sales team on various commercial projects e.g. price increases.
*Support all members of the sales department with regard to sales systems, sales forecasting and commercial administration.

Professional Skills and Competencies

*Commercial experience, preferably within in FMCG markets
*Graduate level / Highly numerate and analytical
*High level of computer literacy (Advanced Excel and Powerpoint)
*Excellent communication and team working skills
*Confident and capable of operating at all levels
*Good team player with strong influencing / negotiation expertise
*Logical presentation skills
