Insights and Category development Analyst

Do you have a passion for drinks? Do you want to work with one of the world leading drinks manufacturers? Do you have strong analytical skills?

My client is a major player within the Drinks industry and work with all 4 top Grocers as well as having a strong hold within the On-Trade market. They have a wide selection of premium spirits that are known and loved by the UK consumer. They operate on a global scale through multiple channels giving them a great foothold on the drinks sector.

Reporting to the Customer Marketing Manager, you will be the Category voice within the company by analysing data and trends within the market and breaking that down to find category gaps which will secure more listings. You will keep the London leadership team updated with information to make sure they are fully equipped with industry knowledge when they pitch for new business. At some points, you will be bought along to client meetings to explain the insight and to give reasons for customers to invest in the company's products. This position requires somebody to be analytical whilst also being able to translate data into category stories to customers and the wider team. You will be a direct part of a 4 strong team made up of Customer Marketing Managers but will also work closely with the wider London team.

The successful candidate will have experience in category and insight and will also have been customer facing in previous roles. They will have an understanding of the On-Trade market and will have working knowledge of Nielsen Answers, or shopper intelligence tools (Dunnhumby, Neilsen). They will be a self-starter and have an entrepreneurial mind. Customer visits will also be required so you will need to be professional and collected when presenting.
