SAI Global, a global Risk Management Services provider, is recruiting for an Account Manager to focus on service delivery and operational support to our clients within the Retail, Agriculture, and Food sector. Ideally coming from a Food Services background, the successful candidate will need to be well versed in customer service and account management with the ability to be both reactive and proactive in supporting customer requirements.  

Predominantly working with clients throughout the UK and EMEA, the Account Manager should be focused on programme and project management whilst being commercially aware with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. An overview of the main duties have been provided below:

  • Ensure that the highest customer service levels are met for all clients, ensuring all enquiries and requests from the clients are responded to promptly and accurately;
  • Work closely with customers to ensure the accurate planning, delivery and reporting of the client programmes and attend Periodic Review Meetings;
  • Liaise closely with both internal and external stakeholders  to prioritise workload in accordance with customer and business requirements as identified in the SLA;
  • Actively manage client data on all relevant platforms in use;
  • Promote and encourage continuous improvement activities to enhance customer experience;
  • Work closely with the client’s teams to continue to develop SAI’s service and understand the client’s requirements globally, including plans and future initiatives;
  • Proactively check all aspects of the clients’ programme including delivery, auditor/reviewer competence/feedback, and administration; resolving any issues where appropriate. Ensure the client’s requirements are implemented where appropriate and verified to ensure continued compliance;
  • Any other duties that from time to time may be considered appropriate by your Line Manager.

Experience, Skillset, and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Account Management experience is essential;
  • Food Industry/Services experience is highly advantageous;
  • Understanding of audit systems, procedures, and policies (including food safety requirements and legislation) alongside knowledge of HACCP would be beneficial;
  • Commercially focused with the ability to cross-sell and up-sell where appropriate;
  • Confident and effective communicator, both written and oral, and presenter;
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills;
  • Proactive approach to problem solving in a client facing role;
  • Ability to deal with customers at senior management and board level;
  • Strong networking skills;
  • Self-motivation and drive coupled with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a broader team;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Good IT literacy and skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
