CLIENT SERVICE MANAGER  

Reports To:                          Account Director

Department:                       Client Service Team

Based:                                   Field based – some time required in RMG Head Office (Reading)

Retail Marketing and Intel have been working together in partnership over the last 18 months. The account has seen success and growth whilst delivering leading results driving sales and average selling price in an ever changing and challenging market. This is a category that is constantly evolving where fresh and innovative ways of working are a must for the continued success of the partnership, and a key attribute for any candidate taken on.

In this role you will work to achieve “client delight” by understanding the clients retail objectives, designing and managing the delivery of field sales and marketing solutions to achieve success against the agreed measures and KPI’s.  You will need to develop strong relationships and a deep understanding of the client’s business, the retail environment and the RMG service proposition to identify the needs and opportunities that exist. Success will be achieved through your ability to consult with the client, collaborate with the RMG team and your brilliant management of the field team operation.

Main responsibilities

Client Relationship

  • To maintain and develop client relationships, including regular meetings to review performance of the

operation, both financially and against KPI’s agreed

  • Develop client network across a broad range of contacts at all levels
  • To present reports to Client on monthly basis with business support
  • To present and support Account Director at quarterly budget meetings
  • Understand the client objectives and strategies for retail
  • To validate and interpret results and produce an executive summary to accompany client weekly reporting providing greater insight, identifying opportunities and driving recommendations for improvement 

Team Management

  • To recruit, train, motivate, coach and develop direct reports.
  • Lead and drive the motivation of the Intel field team by instilling the RMG culture
  • To influence and inspire the field operation in order to achieve account KPI’s / objectives
  • Overall accountability for field administration and reporting with Client Service Executive

Business Development

  • Supporting the Account Director with business development opportunities by creating a broad network of contacts within the client business.
  • To support with strategic proposals that add value to the client operation and extend the services provided
  • Work with all areas of RMG’s business, including Solutions and Insight to further enhance the service we offer.

Finance and Commercial

  • To deliver both short and medium term financial account plans / forecasts for the promotor teams with the support of Client Director
  • Support with risk and compliance, good governance, identification and resolution of risk

Operations

  • To ensure RMG operational support teams / suppliers are fully briefed in time to be able to deliver the services required to fulfil the client’s / field’s objectives.
  • To support senior management in supplier relationships
