If you are an outgoing category candidate looking for your next opportunity, then this exciting role with a leading food manufacturer based in Yorkshire might be the one for you! Working in a well established team, you will put your category experience into play and generate research that can be turned into actionable recommendations to push the category further. You will be given the opportunity to work on Top 4 Grocery accounts with the chance to be customer facing.

You will be reporting to the Category Manager and working to collect data and generate customer insight. Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Collating data from relevant sources about customer insight and feeding it to category team
  • Manipulating data to allow category manager to generate insights and action plans
  • Collecting information on ranges and prices by visiting stores and reporting findings to use in response to trading conditions
  • Collate daily and weekly reports ensuring 100% accuracy
  • Regularly attending meetings in customer head offices




You will need to be an outgoing person with strong analytical skills:
  • Experience within Category Executive/Assistant role
  • Highly motivated
  • Experience within Retail / FMCG / Consumer Durable / Retail Agency sectors
  • Marketing degree or equivalent
  • Strong background in analysis and/or Category Management
  • Keen analytical and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills (there will be a test involved in the interview process)
  • Can be customer facing
