FMCG CLIENT SEEKS BEST IN CLASS CATEGORY MANAGER TO DRIVE SAINSBURY'S ACCOUNT

Key responsibilities:

-Work with Sainsbury's to co-develop an inspiring 3 year Category Vision, Drivers and Tactics, challenge conventional thinking, and think outside the norm.
-Work with global team to Identify and quantify the drivers of category performance that support each customer's growth strategies.
-Work closely with Marketing to Identify required shopper behaviour changes and to implement the tactics that sit behind individual growth drivers.
-Monitoring and creating monthly updates to the business on the performance of the wider categories- Key role in developing shopper insight to improve external perception by key retail customers and actioning these
-Acting as a poc to retailers taking category expertise to advise and build effective relationships
-Manage the understanding of competitor intelligence from the market through both an instore and market data perspective
-Key role within internal meetings, to bring knowledge and insight on the Channel and to keep abreast of emerging trends or changes which affect the shopper and consumer market place

Ideal candidate:

-Degree educated or equivalent
-Experience in turning data into insights from Nielsen and Kantar data
-Ability to set strategy, deliver results, build and present compelling selling stories using data and insight
-Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesise and integrate learning from multiple sources and see the connections in data, trends and events to generate insights
-Significant Category Management experience, broad commercial experience and knowledge of the UK FMCG market
