Better Placed Recruitment are recruiting a unique Junior National Account Manager opportunity for a European FMCG business based in the Manchester.

Our client is a successful food business, renowned for their commitment to delivering high quality, innovative brands to market. Leading their category with strong NPD, their products are widely available across grocery, retail and foodservice channels. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an ambitious sales professional looking to develop a long-term career in account management.

Reporting into a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing specific customer account(s) within the convenience channel.

Key responsibilities:
  • Implementing and negotiating customer account plans in line with overall business strategy
  • Providing accurate forecasts and budgeting reports
  • Monitoring promotional and pricing activity
  • Analysing competitor activity and market trends
  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Working closely with internal divisions such as marketing and brand
  • Being the point of contact for your customers and attending regular face-to-face meetings
  • Providing commercial support to National Account Manager


This is a hybrid role where you will be challenged with early autonomy in a fast-paced environment from the start. Culturally you will have a hunger to learn and succeed, entrepreneurial flair and a proven commercial acumen.

The successful candidate will be of strong graduate calibre with at least 2 years in field sales or national account executive position in a similar FMCG business. Experience in different function such as Brand, Marketing, Category will also be considered. You will possess exceptional organisational skills with excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.

Must be commutable to Manchester.
