Job Details

This client is a key partner for Focus Management and as such we have a number of roles we are recruiting for within this innovative and exciting food business. The role of Business Development Manager is a key member of the Impulse Sales team and will focus on sales within Casual Dining sectors across the UK including; Quick Service Restaurants, Cinemas, Casinos, Health and Fitness Centres, Garden Centres and Coffee Shop chains.

Key responsibilities for the role of Business Development Manager include;

  • Implementing the strategy and working with and supporting the Channel Manager in driving agenda and strategy across the Foodservice Channel
  • Expanding existing and unlocking new distribution
  • Developing existing and new trading relationships in key customers for long-term commercial benefit
  • Mentoring of a BDE whose objective is to develop the regional sales
  • Positively contributing to the overall direction and success of the Channel

Key attributes of the successful applicant, you will;

  • Be able to demonstrate a good level of sales experience within the casual dining impulse sectors
  • Specific knowledge of Starbucks or Caffè Nero would be hugely advantageous
  • Be able to switch effectively between “farming” existing and “hunting” for new business
  • Have a high level of autonomy, be able to work on your own initiative with a self-starter attitude
  • Have the right levels of judgment, drive and influence in order to successfully deliver your business agenda and importantly you will be open minded and adaptable to change

To be successful in your application for Business Development Manager you must have national experience of working with casual dining sectors, within an food and drink category. You must have previous P&L experience and a proven track record of revenue growth and achievement of KPI targets.
