Description:

This much-loved sports nutrition brand is bringing in their first German Commercial Marketing Country Manager to lead the growth of the brand within the German market. This brand-new role will be the primary focus of an individual who wants to join a pioneering company who have become synonymous with the sports nutrition market; redefining the market for all endurance sports enthusiasts.

The Opportunity:

This is a rare opportunity to spearhead the growth of a well-respected branded supplier of sports nutrition products for professional athletes and sports enthusiasts in to the German market. You’ll join some of the brightest minds in the industry capitalising on your digital marketing and experience and passion about endurance sports.

The role:

The role of the Country Manager is to develop and deliver an aggressive growth strategy as part of the businesses International expansion programme. The primary focus of the role is to build brand awareness for the products whilst acquiring, informing & driving revenue through an athlete (consumer) database. This will be primarily on their own website and supported by indirect on-line partners e.g. Amazon. You will need to understand the German Athlete, in order to drive revenue throughout the channel and exceed sales figures. 

The Person:

The successful candidate must be a native German speaker with an exemplary understanding of business English. You should have full commercial understanding of the German sports market and have a great enthusiasm for the industry. You should also have business to business sales experience and business to customer digital marketing experience, with the ability to develop a strategy to attract consumers to the website. 

You will live in Germany, be passionate about endurance sports, well connected and entrepreneurial. As an excellent communicator, you will be commercially savvy and driven towards high growth of the brand. 

Your skills required for the role:

  • An understanding of complexities of the sports industry within Germany 
  • Native proficiency in spoken and written German 
  • Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English 
  • Experience within Digital Marketing. With eCommerce experience, an additional bonus. 
  • Can attract customers towards the brand and site
  • You should also have business to business sales and business to customer digital marketing experience
