Job Details

A market leader in manufacturing some of the pet industries most unique and innovative products, are seeking a National Account Manager to manage and develop their National and Key Account customers in the UK .The position will report to the Commercial Director.

This award winning business has been established for over 30 years and has been highly successful, holding a significant market share in its category. This business is set to grow extensively over the next 5 years, predicting 15%-20% Year on Year growth. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop UK sales through all channels including Pet multiple retailers, Pet wholesalers, Vet Wholesalers, Independent Pet Trade, Garden Centres etc.
  • Manage and drive sales in UK key accounts
  • Manage 2 Regional Sales Managers and develop the UK sales team’s training and performance
  • Liaise with Commercial Director and Marketing department on annual Sales plans, budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide Forecasts for key skus across UK business and monthly reporting
  • Analyse the UK pet market to determine future sales strategies and market potential
  • Develop strong external Client relationships.
  • Experience:
  • At least 2 years’ experience in managing UK multiple retail customers, preferably within the Pet Trade or Toys.
  • Proven leadership and ability to coach and drive sales through team.
  • A proven track record of new business development
  • A great understanding of promotions, budgets, forecasts and planograms
  • A good grasp of marketing and brand management
  • Work away from home when needed
