Illva Saronno are a family owned Italian liquor company and are known for many of the world's favourite Italian liqueurs. Within the UK Illva own Disaronno and Tia Maria the leading coffee liquor in the UK.

This is a very exciting time for Illva who have identified the UK as a high growth and important market as many global trends are executed from the UK strategies. The main purpose of the Off Trade Marketing Manager role is to build increased consumer desirability for both Disaronno and particularly the Tia Maria brands through the implementation of customer facing brand activation within the off trade.

You key responsibilities will be:

  • Implement at local customer level the UK brand activation strategy
  • In depth understanding and application of the most effective customer marketing levers within the desired account base
  • Maintain excellent internal cross-functional relationships to optimise delivery of activities and facilitate effectively
  • Define and implement activation standards that ensure activation plans are linked to performance related targets and results.
  • To be involved in preparation of strategy for customer facing meetings and attend as appropriate - i.e. relevant for Disaronno & Tia Maria, not wider Distributor Portfolio.
  • Lead the evaluation and measurement of profitability and ROI of promotions, ensuring key insights and recommendations are communicated and shared with Brands, Commercial and Brand owners including the sharing of best practice across markets and brands.
  • Deliver cultural change by leading Brand and Commercial teams to develop channel promotional plans to support the business strategy.
  • In synergy with the Head of Sales, review and monitor Customer account plans, linked to Brand Plans and Channel strategy, that achieve the volume and profit budgets.
  • Provide commercial and brand support to review and evaluate new brand / sku / customer opportunities and to address key business challenges.

 


To be successful in this role, you will display:

 

  • Good understanding of off trade customers and their operations.
  • Customer marketing experience in FMCG categories is preferable.
  • Commercially minded showing an understanding of the impact of decisions on profitability.
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to influence key decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Italian language skills would be beneficial.
  • The ability to be adaptable and prioritise effectively.
  • Above all, you will be a dynamic, enthusiastic, graduate-calibre professional with an intense commitment to delivering a winning performance and developing your career.
