Category Manager

My client is the current market leader within their categories and has really strong growth plans for the future. With plenty of innovative NPD coming through, they are looking to continue that growth with the appointment of a Category Manager to look after once of their most important retail accounts.

Ideally we are looking for an individual from an FMCG background that is currently operating at either Category Executive level or as a Category Manager. You will be responsible for driving category growth and excellence within the retailer. Ideally, you will become the ‘go to’ person for category advice for these categories with this retailer.

Using the available data and insights you will create compelling category plans to drive presence within stores. Commercially astute and with a strong handle on data analysis, this business will also offer real career progression within the organisation.

The Individual:

• Strong category experience within an FMCG food manufacturing environment.
• Educated to degree level or the equivalent.
• Experience of using multiple data sources and analytically minded.
• Strong team player.
• Excellent business and commercial acumen.
• Brilliant presentation skills.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
