As a Customer Brand Manager, this opportunity gives you the chance to work with one of the leading FMCG food manufacturers in West Yorkshire and join a marketing team that if often regarded as one of the best around.

As a Customer Brand Manager, you will lead the private label business and you will be aligned to a particular retailer. The purpose of the role is the build strong collaborative relationships with your contacts within the retailer and look together for opportunities to drive growth and expansion of the category. Working cross functionally internally from top to bottom, you will report to the Marketing Director on a day to day basis.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for your customer on the private label brand development.
  • Take ownership of the relationship with the customer’s product developer and technical manager.
  • Develop and gain a clear understanding of the customer’s priorities and strategies to drive the growth of the category for both parties.
  • Support the National Account Manager in leading retailer engagement sessions including strategy, the 6ps and portfolio evolution.
  • Create an NPD pipeline in collaboration with the customer and your internal sales and marketing teams to deliver a pipeline that will drive growth and the category.

Your experience:

  • Experience of retail management or brand management within an FMCG environment.
  • A full mix marketer.
  • A proven track record of effective project management and delivering results.
  • Experience of working within private label would be an advantage.
  • Highly commercial and results orientated.
  • A creative thinker with problem solving skills.
  • Able to work well within a team.
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Able to work cross functionally both internally and externally.

This role would suit a Brand Manager either from a retail background or someone already working within a food manufacturing environment.
