This National Sales Manager is a key role is with a well-established and highly successful privately owned company which is has a growing bathrooms business. The group is a manufacturer with a turnover of £30m and 400 employees their bathroom business is c£10m with significant potential to grow. It has as strong portfolio of brands and supplies fitted bathrooms, accessories, and a full fit-out service to a broad customer base. Its routes to market include retail and merchant channels and there is an existing experienced regionally based sales team of 9 throughout the UK. The bathroom business has a healthy pipeline of new product development and it is recognised for the quality and diversity of its product offering. 

As National Sales Manager Bathrooms, you will actively lead an established sales team who are focused on both new business development and account management activities and you will be involved significantly in coaching, mentoring and facilitating sales training. The company has a friendly, open, positive, “can do” culture and it is imperative that your interpersonal, communications and leadership skills both reflect and identify with this culture. You will report to and work closely with the Managing Director on developing and implementing the business strategy for bathrooms, you will ensure that sales are driven through a strong relationship based approach with relevant KPI’s being in place and you will maintain personal relationships with key customers. Importantly you will look to deliver the full potential that the bathroom sector offers. 

The National Sales Manager role is predominantly field based so there is some flexibility on a home office location but you will be expected to operate from the North East headquarters of the company on a regular and periodic basis; so it is likely that you will live north of Birmingham for ease of access and national coverage. A candidate with a proven track record in sales leadership is required, an individual who will bring deep knowledge and high quality inspirational leadership to the National Sales Manager role. Graduate qualified, you will have built your career ideally in the bathrooms sector, or in relevant and related areas such as kitchens or plumbing supplies. The company operates on a strong work ethic, is very team oriented and committed to employee fulfilment and development and enjoys tremendous loyalty from its employees. You will need proven coaching skills and be up to date in best practice sales leadership principles.
