Job Details
At Arla, we do so much more than make some of the world's favourite dairy products. We make healthy taste delicious, mornings worth getting up for and family dinners unforgettable. Cravendale®, Anchor®, Lurpak® and Tickler® - names like these make us a vital, natural part of modern life in over 100 countries around the world. We are 4,000 UK and 19,000 global employees at the heart of it. Every single one of us plays an important role and together we build on our 10bn Euros turnover and establish our position as one of the largest dairy companies in the world.
We are currently looking to recruit a Manager to lead our team of Product Management Assistants in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands. In this role you will be based at our head office in Leeds and will report into the Director for Product Management Assistants. If you have a strong combination of marketing business understanding and leadership skills, you may have the perfect skillset for this exciting opportunity.
Leading a team of dedicated Product Manager Assistants
Your key objective in this role is to satisfy your stakeholders by empowering and developing a strong team - thereby securing the successful implementation of new and changed products and packaging. To succeed you will set clear objectives and, via visible and close leadership, you manage and develop your team while building and maintaining a positive working environment.
At the same time, you must secure a close and constructive dialogue, optimal processes etc. with the larger Product Management department as well as a great number of other stakeholders. Implementation and on-going optimisations of standardised processes, tools and Ways of Working will be of vital importance for the continuous development of the function.
Business process understanding and people management skills
The successful candidate will hold a degree in business administration or a similar area and will have experience of working in a people management role within FMCG. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate and inspire your team and will be confident in managing members of your team remotely. Experience of working within Product Management would also be an advantage.
You are capable of working independently and solving problems at strategic, tactical and practical levels. As you will have a variety of different stakeholders and contacts, you will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. To be successful in the role you will also be fluent in both verbal and written English. Please note that there will be some overseas travel associated with the role as you will have direct reports based in Germany and the Netherlands as well as the UK.
