Business Manager – Grocery & Convenience Multiples

Healthy Food Brands is a highly successful, privately-owned, entrepreneurial, FMCG business specialising in healthy food and drink, world foods, sports nutrition and health & beauty categories. With a diverse range of quality products (both company and client-owned brands) and in-house manufacturing facilities the business has a real passion for brands. Following a sustained period of significant double-digit growth over the past three years and continued investment in both people and manufacturing capability the company have a clear commitment to growing their business significantly in the UK.

As a result, they are now looking to expand the commercial team with the appointment of an experienced NAM/SNAM who will take on P&L responsibility for the company’s diverse product range with a focus on the key Grocery & Convenience retailers including at least one or two of the Top 4 Grocery Multiples. In addition, you will become the commercial brand “champion” for one of the company’s larger brands with a remit to oversee the brand strategy and day-to-day sales operations across all trade channels.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director the role is home based with a requirement to attend the company’s offices in Sussex circa.1 day per week.

We are seeking a commercially astute individual with previous FMCG food, drink or non-food sales experience and knowledge of operating across the Top Grocery multiples or Convenience retail channels. This is a hands-on role requiring initiative, drive and commitment and a degree of entrepreneurial flair. The role will particularly suit someone with a background in SME’s or alternatively someone who has previously worked for a big branded blue-chip company, but prefers working in a smaller business environment with much greater personal accountability and the ability to make commercial decisions. To be successful you will need to demonstrate both your account management skills and your “hunter” capabilities in being able to seek out new business opportunities.
