Category Analyst

My client is a leading food manufacturer and enjoys Category Captaincy status within many of their accounts. They have a range of branded and private label foods that are highly regarded for the quality of their products.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Category Analyst to join a growing team that enjoys a supportive and inclusive culture.

Your responsibilities as a Category Analyst will be to provide analytical support and influence the strategic direction of the categories within your grocery account. Working closely with the account teams and other members of the Category team, you will be looking to maximise the growth potential of the categories. You will produce daily and weekly category reports based around the available data, support the Category Manager in developing category initiatives, manage the analysis of promotions and advise on ranging and merchandising. They would like the Category Analyst to begin to take some ownership of customer facing meetings with the buyers.

The skills that you need to demonstrate for this role include some experience of working within an FMCG food manufacturing environment. You will have a strong analytical background including the use of Kantar and Nielsen data. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills and be educated to degree level or the equivalent. You will need to be a team player but able to take the initiative and work on your own if necessary. You will be hungry to succeed and progress within the organisation and in return, they will support you and help you to develop your career.
