Our client is a hugely successful FMCG business, manufacturing branded and private label products for the UK grocery retail market. The business requires an Interim Senior Category Manager for the Tesco account.

Reporting to the Category Director, the Interim Senior Category Manager will establish, retain and develop the category management relationship with Tesco.
  • Develop and implement tailored merchandising solutions optimising the category opportunity for customers
  • Advise on all elements of the marketing mix within a defined portfolio
  • Provide insight to the business regarding the promotions, product availability and price
  • Drive change programmes to improve promotional efficiency
  • Develop and manage systems for data collection and distribution
  • Ensure that you are the first point of contact for category insight
  • Evaluate and optimise promotional performance within Tesco, ensuring the retailer
  • pursues a strategy that adds value
  • Maintain and sustain the agenda and build effective relationships


The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior Category Manager with significant experience of managing the Tesco account for either branded or private label product portfolios.
