Brand Director - Spirits

This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning family owned spirits company. They pride themselves on their authentic distilling methods and secret recipe they have been using for over a century. The unique taste of their spirit can be attributed to a combination of several botanicals, each batch steeped for several hours, in a style different to any other. With an exceptionally strong on trade presence in the UK, the company is turning their focus to growing the brand presence within the off trade. Their traditional British product is exported to markets all over the world, including: America, Europe, Russia and China. The business is growing steadily, so it is a very exciting time to join the team!

As the Brand Director, your role will be to lead the marketing team and deliver the company’s goals. You will be accountable for delivering and managing the implementation of the marketing and brand strategy which will play a key role in leading the company’s overall growth plans. This will encompass the full marketing mix: strategic planning, research & analysis, online and offline brand activation, events, social media and PR. The role will focus on consumer brand activation and involve working closely with partners in the UK and internationally. This is a very hands-on role; you will be part of the NPD development team and oversee all new launches, whilst managing marketing budgets effectively. You will have three direct reports in this role. This is a growth hire, and the company are looking for someone who can hit the ground running - understand the business, tie everything together, and lead the marketing side of the business straight away. This is an office based role in Central London.

As a successful candidate, you will have 7+ years of FMCG marketing experience. Experience managing an aspiring brand or working for a startup FMCG business is an advantage. Ideally looking for someone from a Craft Beer or Cider background, but happy to consider marketers from all FMCG backgrounds. Experience managing a ‘Lifestyle Brand’ is a major advantage as well. You must be a well-rounded marketer with emphasis on the consumer. You must have proven leadership skills and the ability to make a difference and challenge the status quo.
