Demand / Forecast Planner | Kent | Competitive Salary

If you have a background in the fresh produce industry and you're looking forward to your next job have you considered being a Demand / Forecast Planner? You'll be reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director and using your ambition and excellent analytical skills to add value to the sales forecasting process and systems for the business.

The Role

You will be giving the business a bit of a positive shake up and implementing new and improved processes that will harness the current resources and knowledge to produce sales forecasts for both commercial and procurement planning.
Through your new and exciting ideas, you will continuously improve sales forecasting processes and systems.
Once you have invented your new and improved process you will be able to ensure that statistical forecast accuracy is always delivered.
You won't be alone…you'll have the Commercial Team on board to integrate market data and we'd like you to get on with them.
If anything starts to look a bit variable you need to find out why and sort it out and then find out how you can stop this from happening in the future.

The Candidate

As you can see, we'd like your forecasting to be very accurate so the ability to see into the future may help.
You'll have previous supply chain and forecasting experience ideally within an FMCG environment.
Analytical and numerical skills are a must have.
Perhaps you read the Financial Times but if you don't perhaps you should start because an understanding of the financial impact of forecasting (your decisions) is crucial.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.
Flexible approach to work, you will be driven and goal orientated.
