Our client is a successful Award Winning Alcoholic Drinks business. They supply the On and Off trade sectors with high quality branded drinks.
The business has a terrific reputation the industry and they are looking to add some talent to their commercial team.
The Role
Junior Account Manager – Contract Pack Accounts.
The purpose of this role is to support the Business Sector Controller in the delivery of the Contract Pack business strategy, by managing the day to day business of a number of specified accounts and assuming commercial responsibility for them. The role is the first point of contact for specified customers and internal colleagues, also acting as primary cover for the Business Sector Controller when s/he is out of the business.
- Manage day-to-day business of specified Contract Pack accounts, ensuring timely issue resolution, proactively soliciting new business from existing accounts.
- Proactively seek new opportunities to develop business from new accounts, by identifying potential partners and actively communicating the business capabilities and how we add value.
- Commercial responsibility to include all aspects of budgeting, forecasting, sales, pricing, profitability, administration and accurate reporting. Ensuring contracts are kept up to date and terms adhered to.
- Relationship development within the account base to include commercial, procurement, suppliers and supply chain.
- Build awareness and educate the account base (live and prospect) of the capabilities of KWS.
- Maintain a good level of market and competitor knowledge by means of regular store visits and reading of relevant trade publications.
- Represent the company at Trade events and fairs as and when required.
The Candidate
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sales or customer-based environment
- Graduate Calibre
- PC literate (word, excel, PowerPoint, e-mail/outlook)
- Previous FMCG market experience desirable
- Previous drinks experience desirable
Experience
- Previous account management experience
- Very strong communication skills
- Exposure to working in a team of sales people
- Good commercial skills and attention to detail
- Ability to project manage
- Ability and confidence in interaction with senior management
Other
- Proven team player
- Self-motivated, organised and disciplined
- Flexibility and adaptability is essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Requirement to travel to customer meetings and stay overnight from time to time if required.
