The Client

We are looking for a National Account Manager to join a leading food business based on the South Coast. Our client is one of the fastest growing fresh food groups in the UK supplying the leading supermarkets with high quality, innovative own-label fresh food. Given the recent growth and acquisitions, the business now requires an excellent National Account Manager to lead two of their most important accounts.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the role will lead the day to day management and development of the accounts ensuring that business and customer objectives are hit. The position will take responsibility for the account P&L’s and forecasting on a monthly basis as well as utilising category data to propose and execute a business plan to drive sales. It is a hands-on role with lots of support internally as well as time with the retailers buying teams.

The Person

To apply for this role candidates must have account management experience at Account Manager or Account Executive level within in the fresh food industry with an established track record of account growth with the major supermarkets. Candidates will demonstrate a strong understanding of category management, high level and complex negotiations and a passion for commercial success that will challenge the status quo and build strong relationships with customers.
