Category Manager – Food Manufacturing
Location: Surrey
Package: Up to £35k, car allowance, bonus, pension, healthcare, flexible working 

An exciting opportunity has arisen with our £multi-billion, blue-chip food manufacturing client who is looking to recruit a Category Manager reporting into the Head of Category. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales and marketing teams, assisting them in driving business growth strategies through the provision of key category analysis & insight, working specifically on the Tesco account. 

Key responsibilities:

•    To Review and analyse data with the view of understanding category performance and making category recommendations for internal purposes and for our customers
•    To Work with the Senior Category Manager on Category specific projects and strategy building
•    Responsible for Customer data source; extraction, distribution, and presentation of this internally and externally
•    To Generate regular Market Reviews for Customer and internal meetings
•    To Create persuasive arguments and category rationale for NPD listings, distribution changes, and channel growth

Requirements:

•    Strong category/insights or customer marketing experience from a food or FMCG background
•    Strong analytical skills utilising a wide range of continuous & ad hoc data sources
•    Great team-worker
•    Advanced Excel skills
•    Excellent attention to detail, organized, strategic thinker
