A multichannel retailer of Healthcare Product in the Midlands with new opportunity for a Buyer


Your new company

Based in the Midlands, this successful multi-channel retail business has a new opportunity for a Buyer to join their team to drive their Healthcare product range. This company provide a wide range of healthcare products including health, beauty, personal care and electrical. This company has a supportive working environment, so a background in the product is not necessary but the buying background and an interest in the product is a must. They take pride in their product offering, and are proud of their position as a trusted name in healthcare.

Your new role

You will be working with product that can and will improve your customers' quality of life. You will have full accountability for one of the fastest growing product areas in the UK, so you will be developing new products and bringing innovative new products to market. You will have responsibility for the own brand product pipeline, working with the category managers to identify gaps within the range. You will utilise market data to drive decision making for product development, ranging and pricing decisions. Delivering annual promotion plans, creating pricing strategies, and providing a varied offer for the consumer.


What you'll need to succeed

This company has a supportive working environment, so a background in the product is not necessary but the buying background and an interest in the product is a must. You will be working with product that can and will improve your customers' quality of life - so a compassionate and empathic approach will be beneficial. You will have excellent negotiation skills, and a commercial eye to be constantly looking for new market opportunities. Experience of branded and own brand product selection and development and a proven track record of driving profits, turnover in a fast paced retail focused environment. Previous category management and retail buying/trading experience of product that retails both in-store and online is desirable.
