Job Details

Our client is a £30 million fast-growing, fine food importer and distributor supplying a broad range of products from around the world to independent customers, major multiples and department stores, as well as to the wholesale and foodservice trades. Their range includes ethnic foods, condiments/sauces, canned goods, biscuits & cookies, as well as baking and confectionery and outstanding Christmas products.

It’s a fast paced business that looks to work very closely with all their customers, with their mix of products you will have multiple buyer contacts within the account base so being a well organised and adaptable individual will be vital within the role. As National Account Manager you will manage a mix of accounts including Amazon, Morrisons, Booths and Iceland and look to develop existing categories as well as sell in new product and create new channels.

You don't have to have had direct Grocery National Account P&L responsibility but ideally be an existing NAE or JNAM looking for the next move forward in your career with a business that's going to give you the flexibility and account management responsibility you've been lacking to date. The NAC will give you great training and clear parameters to work within as you gain your footing in account understanding and management, and will support you through initial Buyer meetings and negotiations. But they're also looking for the right person that has the nouce and character to strike out on their own with developing new channels within accounts and someone who can stand their ground in tough negotiations.

Office based in West London – there will be flexibility after proving your skills and abilities as well as integrating into the business and developing strong internal relationships with the various stakeholders.
