Category Analyst

FMCG Connect is currently working with a large international fresh produce company in search of an experienced Category Analyst to work alongside the Senior Category Marketing Manager and Marketing Director.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer data, delivering insight to both internal and external customers and creating reports.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the accuracy and integrity of customer data delivering actionable insight for both internal and external customers and stakeholders

• Work with database providers to resolve issues as they arise, as well as design inputs and outputs in order to effectively create a comprehensive set of business reports which cover the needs of Board, Leadership Team, Commercial Teams, NPD teams and Customer Category Marketing Team

• Report research and writing: You will be using a wide range of research tools, including primary and secondary sources alongside quantitative and qualitative consumer research, to create insightful, relevant reports in a wide range of consumer-facing food and drink markets

• Insight generation: Both as part of the report writing process and in your interactions with customers, you’ll need to be able to turn consumer research findings, market data and industry knowledge into actionable insights

• Working with other teams, daily contact with a wide range of colleagues in other areas of the company. Key contacts include our global team of analysts, research services team, who manage consumer research and provide statistical support, our sales team, and marketing teams. Analysts will be expected to support our clients and sales teams through client visits and presentations, and to support our PR and marketing teams

Essentials

• Educated to degree level
• previous data management experience

• Microsoft Package (Excel, Word)
