Do you want to be part of a small yet ambitious and rapidly growing innovative company? Are you a natural leader with a knack for building social and professional connections? Do you understand the complex economic landscape in which growing companies operate? Can you think outside the box to address and overcome the challenges that it presents? If this sounds like you, we have an opportunity you won’t want to miss.

Oritain is looking for an experienced, driven and commercially savvy person to join our UK team and spearhead initiatives to strengthen and grow our business.

The role of Senior Account Manager and Business Development Manager is centred on implementing targeted research and organisational leadership to continue the expansion of our client base, but involves a range of other duties. The ideal candidate will have the skills and knowledge required to:

  • Develop ways to grow the value of our existing accounts through upselling or negotiation;
  • Monitor the changing needs of our team to complete their work effectively as it deepens and diversifies;
  • Ensure that all resources required for optimum performance are met;
  • Ensure that operational targets are met to our clients’ satisfaction;
  • Ensure that internal sales targets are met— and that you and others strive to exceed them;
  • Monitor performance and proactively communicate with team members and senior management regarding factors affecting performance; and
  • Maintain high standards of proficiency across business tools and software, organisation of workspace and workflow and personal and professional motivation.

The Senior Account and Business Development Manager will be a decisive team leader with a mind for commercial strategy, as well as a forward-thinking team player who actively participates in the learning, planning and bonding activities that make us a strong team.

Applicants must be professionally qualified with a bachelor’s degree in commerce or science. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail or food supply chains or preferably both, with an employment history of delivering results and meeting targets.

As a New Zealand-based company, we have spent the last year establishing our London office, building a new client base and expanding our reach throughout the UK and Europe. The foundations of our company are strong, but as a relatively young venture, the London office is an exciting, fast-moving, social and tightly-knit working environment where team spirit and tenacity is paramount.

If you believe you are the right candidate for this exciting opportunity, please apply using the link provided or via email to Rupert at careers.uk@oritain.com, attaching both CV and cover letter.

We look forward to receiving your application.
