The Company

My client is a well-known manufacturer of home improvement and security products. Operating across a number of market leading brands this business work with both retail and commercial end users. The company have invested significant resources into a new and exciting area which is Smart Connected Technology. The brand is positioning itself as a leader in this sector with new technologies and an already successful and trusted range of products in the market today. As a result of this growth they are now looking to appoint a Mobile Product Manager to develop, own and maintain the IOT connected app.

The Role

As Mobile Product Manager you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing connected apps. You will coordinate with stakeholders in the launch of new smart home products and will be responsible for feature backlogs, product roadmaps, user testing and documentation. You will also produce use cases, personas and test criteria to support UXD. As part of this position you will also communicate the IOT connected home apps end-to-end road map to the management team and implement and manage a number of API’s within the in house apps.

The Person

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Product Manager / App Developer to join an established business who are leading the way in a new and exciting product sector. You will have a proactive approach and be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team. To be considered for this position you must have 3 or more years in an app development position, have experience of managing the app development cycle and have worked in a fast moving, consumer driven environment. Other competencies you must possess include:

• Software development experience.
• Good knowledge of security & encryption.
• Extensive experience delivering native mobile apps of a significant complexity.
• Experienced in working with in-house and 3rd party SDK/APIs  
• Experience working within an agile environment
• Good knowledge of UXD tools and processes.
• Experience of working with third party developers
• Good understanding of IOT stacks.
