Description
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Develop and lead the implementation of the Sales and New Business Development strategy to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Leadership and management of the Sales and Business Development team
- Represent the business at relevant conferences, trade fairs and networking events ensuring improved visibility and awareness of the organisation within the travel industry.
- Continually evaluate strategy, responding to customer insight and analytics to maximise revenue - providing ongoing reporting on sales and non-fare revenue status.
- Identifying, Implementing and reporting on new business opportunities in target markets.
- Ensure close working partnerships are built with other internal stakeholders, in particular marketing, revenue, insights and PR / Communications
- Champion the role of sales and new business development within the business, building strong relationships with other internal stakeholders and industry partners
Profile
You'll need to be:
- Commercially astute with strong judgement and decision making abilities
- Customer focused - this role needs someone who must really understand customer experience
- Have personal drive and delivery, being proactive and innovative to challenge the status quo
- Able to manage change, positively influencing colleagues and coaching where required
- Able to foster strong teamwork, pulling together to deliver agreed objective
- Responsible and able to run the business effectively and with an understanding of risk
As a minimum you'll need to have:
- experience in sales and / or new business development (5 at a senior level) with ability to demonstrate management and delivery of a sales and new business strategy
- An understanding of transport / tourism / leisure industries
- Strong analytical skills to us data interpretation and customer insight to identify new opportunities for the business
- Educated to first degree level or equivalent with relevant professional marketing qualification and active CPD / membership of professional body
