The role:

The role sits within the Trade shopper Marketing team who deliver the strategic marketing activity that drives acquisition, customer growth and quality business targets.

The trade marketing manager is responsible for leading all marketing activity relating to our major grocery retail channels. The right person will have superb customer, channel or trade marketing experience from either the retail and manufacturing industry. They will also have experience in developing a variety of marketing activity with a focus on pricing, promotions and brand activity.

Strong project management skills and the ability to manage very senior stakeholders is key. As the person in the role develops further, additional opportunities to develop the strategy and key projects will be paramount. This is a high performance team, and there is opportunity to progress into a more senior shopper / trade marketing role within 18 months.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Developing & executing a Trade Marketing Calendar and corresponding Marketing Communications plan, focusing on in-store environment, supporting the sales process and leveraging all opportunities with accounts.

* Manage the marketing support and development of all retail channels / categories

* Champion projects internally and be key point of liaison with all key stakeholders.

* Manage the briefing process and day to day management and co-ordination of design/print/distribution suppliers & oversee these relationships

* Liaise with trade marketing team to plan and co-ordinate distribution of POS via merchandising team or fulfilment house as appropriate.


The successful candidate will possess the following:

* Strong experience in a commercially orientated, results driven organisation, with a focus on Trade Marketing (ideally blue chip background & highly branded)

* Understanding of POS and in-store environment development

* Proven ability to manage multiple major accounts & agencies
