A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a fast-growing, independent premium spirits business. With a great history and a reputation for high-quality, innovative products they have won numerous awards for their impressive range of whiskies. They have great distribution not only within the UK but also in around 50 countries world-wide. Now with an extended portfolio of Rum, Vodka and Gin they have a brilliant offering and are quickly becoming one of the largest independent spirit producers in the UK.  Having recently gained listings with some of the county’s top Route-to-Market customers they now require a Business Development Manager to drive sales within a key strategic geography.

As Business Development Manager you will have accountability for a large number of cross-channel accounts within a specific territory. You will be responsible for driving new listings and implementing the UK brand strategy within both traditional and prestige outlets including pubs, bars, clubs, hotels and restaurants along with some specialist retail accounts. A proportion of your time will also be spent on customer events and tastings as well as training key Route to Market sales teams on how to represent and sell the product themselves.

To be considered for this exciting position you must have experience selling alcohol products into the On-Trade. Candidates with a Beer or Wine background are encouraged to apply but those with knowledge of the premium spirits industry will be at an advantage. This will be a very autonomous role so it is essential that you have great drive and energy along with a passion for the drinks industry. A proven sales background along with strong negotiation and presentation skills are also crucial.
