Our global FMCG client has operations in over 120 countries and boasts iconic brands within the food industry. They are an incredibly innovative and entrepreneurial business that offers a collaborative environment. Exciting times lay ahead with numerous new brand and product launches planned and as a result this is an exciting time to join as a Category Manager on a fixed term 12 month contract. Whilst not guaranteed, the possibility to join on a permanent basis may also be possible at the end of the contract.

With a focus on one of the UK’s top four grocery customers, you will execute a 3 year vision of category growth. Through successful execution of the plan, this will result in our client being the category partner of choice within this top four grocer. This will then enable optimisation of range, space, location, distribution and availability. You will be expected to build strong internal relationships with brand marketing, innovation and strategy teams, whilst also using your influencing skills with the customer to build strong relationships. In addition you will be tasked with interpreting data and turning this into commercial propositions. Success in the role could possibly lead to a permanent position.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you must have a proven track record within a Category Management role and have operated within a leading FMCG business. You will have an excellent understanding of UK retail channels along with a proven track record in the use of insight tools and data such as Kantar and Nielsen.
