Home-Based – preferably located in the South of England

Our client is a leading player in the housewares industry, offering a unique premium brand that sets them apart from the rest of the market place. The company manufacture and produce a variety of products for the home predominantly cookware, bakeware and ceramics and have developed an outstanding reputation in the industry over recent years. The business has achieved worldwide distribution, with products sold across Europe, America and the Far East. The company service the majority of major retailers in the UK including department stores, grocery and high street retailers. Our client is now seeking a National Account Manager to join the company and support future growth plans.

With a strong UK account base already established, your role will be the management of existing relationships as well as ensuring the brand is positioned correctly within your customer base.

Within each of your accounts, which could include House of Fraser, Harrods and other key UK retailers for example you will have full P&L responsibility and autonomy. You will need to develop a strategy to increase the visibility of the brand in each retailer in order to grow your account base. You must have excellent relationship building skills, the ability to negotiate and ultimately deliver impressive results.

In order to be considered for this opportunity you must have previous account management experience at either Key or National Account level. It would be highly beneficial if you have operated in a premium, branded non-food consumer goods environment. Housewares experience would be beneficial but not essential, other consumer good category experience will be considered. You may currently be at Key Account level and looking to progress your career to the next level or you could be a National Account Manager looking for an opportunity to develop your career further. This role offers the chance to work with a market leading brand so you must bring the right characteristics and personality to succeed in this environment.
