Job Details

Offering the chance to work with one of the most high profile and global leading healthcare businesses, this is a great opportunity for an interim Category Manager or Senior Category Manager to join them to manage one of their major customer accounts.

This is a customer facing role and you will work closely with the Retailer Shopper Manager and the sales team to deliver category driven and insights lead solutions to your customer account.

The Role:

  • Develop and lead the relationship with your retailer contacts across several categories.
  • Proactively sell in your Category Management expertise with the aim of becoming the first point of contact for a Category Management service while looking for opportunities to maximise sales and growth for the category.
  • Deliver mutually profitable growth driving strategies to the customer.
  • Use shopper and consumer insight to offer proactive and ongoing advice and recommendations.
  • Identify commercial opportunities for the sales teams and assist with the delivery where appropriate.
  • Integrate Category expertise with the sales teams to deepen customer engagement and category understanding.

Key Competencies:

  • An experienced Category Manager or Senior Category Manager within a FMCG business, either food or non – food.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Able to create strategy and vision.
  • Consumer and customer focused.
  • Highly collaborative and able to work well within a team.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communicator
