PepsiCo is the home of some of the most iconic and consumer loved brands in the world - Pepsi Max, Walkers, Lays, Tropicana, 7 Up, Mountain Dew, Lipton, SunBites, Gatorade, Quaker, Naked and Doritos to name just a few -
supported by some of the most memorable advertising and successful innovation on the planet

PepsiCo enduring success is driven by our ability to continually anticipate major shifts in the consumer needs and
the external market environment and meet them head-on by transforming our brand portfolio

PepsiCo Insights are fundamental to this adaptability and success. The role of insights in PepsiCo is to accelerate growth and market share by equipping and inspiring PepsiCo leaders with deep consumer insights & high impact analytics that build powerful brands, create breakthrough innovation and win market advantage. We are focused on making PepsiCo a competitive advantage for PepsiCo - to do this we must be a 1st choice destination for the very best insights talent in the industry and the insight team must be much more than skilled insight practitioners, they must:
  • Be highly Influential leaders who are inspired by proactively shaping the business and defining opportunities
    for brand/portfolio/category growth
  • Be externally immersed and passionate about consumers, shoppers, culture, trends, brands, market place dynamics, and applying learning faster/better than competitors
  • Thrive on ambiguity and the opportunity to instigate change and create profound difference/legacy
  • Synthesize and simplify data/understanding from multiple sources and join the dots in a meaningful, actionable way.
  • Uncover insight but also critically define the implications and drive the actions that will unlock growth
  • Be inspiring and creative whilst also intellectually and analytically rigorous - a master of both human insights
and advanced analytics, both art and science.
  • Ruthlessly prioritise to focus on what will add most value to the team and business

  • The Role:
  • Initially a 6 month role but with potential to go permanent within PepsiCo
  • Lead the delivery of a strategically critical foundational insights workstream (Demand Spaces - PepsiCo's proprietary segmentation portfolio and brand growth framework) across our full Beverage Portfolio, operating across multiple markets, leading a cross function team
  • Enable a holistic understanding of consumer driven "Where to Play" growth opportunities
  • Ensure that we are ahead of the competition in projecting the future shape of consumer demand and determine implications for the Beverage Strategic Growth Plan
  • Leverage work to
    • drive Brand Portfolio Strategy
    • define innovation strategy and inspire front end ideation
    • determine commercial go to market, customer and channel implications and opportunities

  • QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES

  • Intellectual curiosity, future oriented, identifies & influences strategies, articulates future possibilities,
pushes beyond the obvious - formulates and articulates a strong POV with diverse inputs.
  • A "commercial first" mindset vs. "insights first" mindset. Strong Business curiosity and commercially savvy… constantly looks for ways to improve business performance.
  • Excellent sense for organizational dynamics, builds and leverage networks to get things done
  • Frames problems smartly and drives decision making. Synthesizes information, adept at storytelling, persuasive communication. Influences others by winning hearts and minds and through both formal and informal channels
  • Actively creates cross culture & cross function collaboration and interdependence. Real team player
